Working or studying to the sound of music is great. I' m doing this right now.
First of all, listening to music and doing something at the same time helps to come down and clear the mind. As a result we can finish this action more quickly. Cleaning the house is a good example is. Ironing, dusting, washing the floor, washing dishes is awful. No one likes it. Our favorite music can make all this stuff easier and funnier. It's better to imagine ourselves Cinderellas than just a cleaner.
When it comes to studying, I’d like to say that scientists proved that music assists to remember information better. People keep in mind music that they’ve listened and recall what they’ve read, watched, heard. For instance, learning by heart some poem we can memorize the images that occur while listening to music.
Nevertheless, opposing meaning exists. They say it's impossible doing two things at the same time. The sound of music can distract the attention from more important affair.
To my mind, that’s not the case. We can’t stay in vacuum while working. Telephone call, relatives, clocks will distract the attention. Light sound of music can help to concentrate and create good background for work.
To sum up, despite the opinion of my opponents, I believe, people who get accustomed to working and studying while listening to music do everything better and faster. That’s why I hold an opinion that the sound of music is necessary for successful studying and working.
